Aasar Unicode

Aasar Unicode is a modern Arabic calligraphy font carefully based on the Naskh script. It was crafted by Syed Manzar Hasan Zaidi and released for use in October 2017. It is a trademark of Axis SoftMedia Pvt. Ltd., headquartered in Mumbai, India, since 2008. Although the font incorporates elements of the Naskh script, it does not strictly follow all the rules. It also contains some modern elements, which can be seen particularly in the overall structure and letter connections. The font has a simple and elegant design that is easy to read. While thicker than some fonts, the strokes aren’t uniformly bold. The font has a high-stroke contrast, which makes it look more dynamic and interesting. Due to its elegance, the font could be suitable for formal invitations, certificates, or branding materials. The font has a broad character set, having 444 characters and 497 glyphs. Moreover, it is compatible with 11 Unicode blocks, including Basic Latin Latin-1 Supplement, Spacing Modifier Letters, Arabic, General Punctuation, Greek, and Coptic, among others. It is, though, only offered in regular font size.
