Bahij Firas, jointly created by Abbas Al-Baghdadi and Dr. Abdul Hamid Osmani Bahij, emerged on December 28, 2019, under the auspices of Bahij Virtual Academy, Afghanistan. This modern decorative Arabic font features bold letterforms with sharp angles and filled characters, adorned with diagonal wide terminals that exhibit a slight circularity. With 843 characters and 1217 glyphs, it supports Arabic, Urdu, Latin, and Greek languages. Characterized by non-constant thickness, its vertical strokes are thicker and more solid the horizontal ones. With its commanding design, this font expresses strength and impact. However, its single font weight may limit versatility, though it excels in short bursts of text due to its bold, decorative nature. Its Unicode coverage includes a wide array of blocks, from Basic Latin to Arabic Presentation Forms-B, Currency symbols and more.
