Ostouri

Ostouri, which translates to “legendary” in Arabic, is an Arabic display font designed by Mostafa El Abasiry. It is an OTF font with 248 number of characters and 292 glyphs. It’s not intended for long text blocks but for titles, headings, logos, and branding purposes. While not strictly a true Kufic font, it draws inspiration from its angular forms and bold presence. Due to its bold and cryptic nature, it has very limited usability in literary writings, only preferred for design purposes. It is only available in regular font weight, limiting its use. Its letters are equally spaced with varying thickness, which makes it more attractive. Furthermore, its letters are filled with rounded corners and sharp edges with tiny flicks at the end. Ostouri is a modern interpretation of traditional Kufic style, giving your text a touch of cultural flair. Moreover, it is compatible with modern Unicode Standards, which increases its accessibility.
