PDMS Sukkur, crafted by Pakistan Data Management Services and trademarked under Nastaliq Nizami, presents a modern interpretation of Urdu typography. Released on November 14, 2019, this font style expresses a welcoming feel with its fat, filled, and wide letterforms, characterized by small negative spaces and dynamic thickness. Inspired by both Naskh and Nastaliq scripts, this PDMS font combines the simplicity of Naskh with decorative elements that remind us of Nastaliq. Horizontal characters exhibit Naskh’s simplicity and emphasis, while certain letters feature a Nastaliq-inspired slant.
