Sukar is a modern Arabic thick and rounded font designed by Dario Muhafara. It draws its inspiration from the famous Latin Font named “Overlock” which is a property of Dario Manuel Muhafara. However, Sukar is a trademark of Ghiath Alsory and was released in March 2016. It has a clean and contemporary look that is perfect for modern design projects. The sharp edges and consistent weight of the letterforms make it quite easy to read, even at small sizes. It has a large character set of 290 symbols and letters with a glyph count of 256. Its versatility is being increased by the 3 different weights it comes in, including:
- Sukar Bold
- Sukar black
- Sukar Regular
It is a sans-serif font, which means that it does not have small strokes at the ends of the letters. However, its wide look and rounded zero spaces suggest traces of the traditional Kufic script in it. Moreover, its flowing lines give a really soft look to your text. The font supports Latin, Arabic, and Greek languages along with partial support for Urdu, Persian, and more. Also, it is compatible with a variety of Unicode Standards contributing to its usage on the web and UI/UX design in mobile apps.
