Terafik is an Arabic sans-serif font family and is a property of Sharif FarsiWeb, Inc. The font is based on the Roya and Bitstream Vera fonts. Roya’s original source is unknown and has a copyright phrase of “(c) 1999 Everybody!”. Therefore, you can freely distribute this font but cannot modify it. It encompasses a charset containing 374 symbols and letters with a glyph count of 311, enough to make design tweaking. It comes in 2 different font styles, including:
- Terafik Regular
- Terafik Bold
It is characterized by its impactful yet a bit natural handwritten look, soft curves, and rounded terminals. The counters (the spaces inside the letters) in Terafik are large and open. It avoids any extra decorations due to which it is highly legible on screen as well as printed. This makes the font easy to read, even at small sizes. It can be used to write creative texts like posters and brochures, but it is often preferred in newspapers and magazines to make headlines.
