A Refaghat is an artistic Persian font with a distinct appearance, perfect for creative projects or artworks. It has wide and half-filled, half-empty letterforms, creating a visual interest. Unlike other Urdu fonts, this one is not a formal writing font but a creative one. Moreover, it has an angular appearance, but the letter width and sizing are different. Letters like “fey” or “qaaf” have a circular appearance with a solid dot in the middle, giving the font a unique animated feel. The typeface was designed by Seyyed Mahmoud Hosseini and released by IrFont.ir on October 9, 2017. It features 288 characters and 221 glyphs, providing ample room for design tweaking.
