Al Qalam Fawad is a calligraphy Urdu font that uses the Naskh script, known for its straight lines and emphasis on horizontal strokes. However, this one has a thicker and more impactful stroke weight compared to some Naskh fonts. It was crafted by Pakistani calligraphers Attari Qadri and Muhammad Ishtiaq Ali Attari from Faisalabad. The font was released on January 30, 2016, and licensed under the trademark Attari Qadri. It incorporates 219 characters with a generous glyph count of 432, giving enough room to achieve many design goals. Although it is a Naskh font, it involves some modern design elements, making it versatile. It comes in two different weights, which are as follows:
