Al Qalam Irtaza Hassan

Rating
5/5

AlQalam Irtaza Hasan is a bold geometric Urdu Font that draws inspiration from traditional Naskh and Kufic script. It was designed by a Pakistani calligrapher, Muhammad Ishtiaq Ali Attari, from Faisalabad, and released under the trademark Attari Qadri in 2010. It’s a multipurpose typeface that can make attention-grabbing bold headings in newspapers and official documents, as well as creative posts, headers, logos, and more. The font has a broad character set, having 444 characters and 497 glyphs. Its bold and thick nature allows it to be highly legible on screen. Moreover, it is compatible with 11 Unicode blocks, including Basic Latin Latin-1 Supplement, Spacing Modifier Letters, Arabic, General Punctuation, Greek, and Coptic, among others. It is, however, only available in regular font size. Considering Al Qalam Irtaza Hassan’s design elements, the font offers a clean overall look with almost no design elements. The thickness of the stroke remains constant throughout the letters, creating a strong impression. Plus, the square-like element in the characters, inspired by traditional Kufic script, adds a visual interest even more.
