Al Qalam Khalid Maqbool

Rating
5/5

AlQalam is an ink-style irregular Urdu font designed by esteemed font designer Dr. Khalid Maqbool. It is a product of the I.T. Department, Darul Amal Chishtia Trust, Lahore. Each letter is crafted to resemble the natural movement of ink as it splashes and spreads across the page. The irregular lines, varying thickness, and unexpected flourishes create a sense of fluidity and movement, adding visual interest to your text. The typeface has a broad character set of 383 characters and 425 glyphs. Its bold, untidy, and thick nature allows it to be highly legible on screen. However, it will also be difficult to read in smaller sizes. Moreover, it is compatible with many of the latest Unicode blocks, including Basic Latin Latin-1 Supplement, Spacing Modifier Letters, Greek, and Coptic, among others. AlQalam Khalid Maqbool, with its distinct look, can be used for creative projects that need a natural feel of ink-writing. It can be used to make horror posters and book covers due to its blood-like appearance.
