Dubai is a Humanist typeface commissioned by the Government of Dubai in partnership with Microsoft and designed by a team of six members led by Nadine Chahine from Monotype. Released in 2017, it’s named after the city and represents a blend of Naskh script with modern influences, catering to over 85 million users in 180 countries. With 550 characters and 677 glyphs, Dubai font supports 23 languages and is included in Microsoft’s Windows 10 and Office 365. It offers four different weights, providing flexibility in design applications. These may include:

The font’s changing thickness and contrasting strokes, reminiscent of Qalam writing, contribute to its modern yet welcoming appearance.
