KacstLetter is a Qalam writing Arabic font released under the GPL license and developed by KACST (King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology) and URW Design and Development. Inspired by the Naskh script with modern influences, it features plain, wide, monospaced letters in a Qalam writing style, characterized by thick letterforms. With impactful strokes and a changing thickness, the font offers a clean and clear appearance, enhancing legibility on screens, even at small sizes. Its simple and spacious letters make it suitable for both short and long texts, catering to various design needs. Released in 2017, KacstLetter comprises 445 characters and 459 glyphs, ensuring compatibility with Urdu, Arabic, Latin, Persian, and more languages.
