Palatino Sans Arabic, created by Professor Hermann Zapf and Nadine Chahine, is an example of their dedication to global typography. It was launched by Linotype which is a well-known typography foundry on 21st October, 2016. This new sans has the traditional proportions but has a softer, less noticeable modification, giving it a more accessible, informal face that works well in anything from books to package design. It is a modern take on the traditional Naskh style that successfully blends formal and casual elements. It comes in two different weights including:
- Palatino Sans Arabic Regular
- Palatino Sans Arabic Bold
It has a large character set of 843 and 1217 number of glyphs, making it a diverse font. Typographers and designers have always favored the large Palatino Sans family. Perfect proportions, well-designed letterforms, and the ideal ratio of modern to traditional. The characters are made up of smooth, curved strokes, offering a more contemporary and streamlined appearance. The strokes maintain a uniform thickness throughout, contributing to the overall clarity and stability of the font. Palatino Sans Arabic has 2 weights, Bold and Regular therefore can be used to write long plain texts as well to make attractive attention-grabbing headings.
