Shafrah is a filled Arabic font that draws on inspiration from ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. The Arabic word ‘Shafrah’ refers to encrypted code. The font was designed by a well-known Egyptian Typographer Mostafa EL Abasiry and its copyrights was preserved in 2014. As seen from the looks of the font it has a direct relation with Islamic calligraphy therefore, it can be used to present your text in a sophisticated way with the touch of traditional as well as modern calligraphic approaches. The font has 273 characters with a glyph count of 304 making it suitable and compatible with various languages including Urdu. It has quite a unique look with its subtle design elements. First, the in-line design proves it is based on the Naskh script, Secondly, it is a geometric font or monospaced with equal spacing between characters. Moreover, it has varying thicknesses, sharp edges around joints, and two-tip sharp terminals. The letters are bold and thick making it suitable for making impactful text. Yet, a little irregularity in its overall design makes it perfect for writing horror texts on book covers or posters.
