X Zar

X Zar is an Arabic font family designed by Behnam, an Arabic font developer. This unique calligraphy font is a trademark of MacFarsi and was licensed and released in November 2002. It is based on the Naskh script, a popular calligraphic style known for its angular letterforms and horizontal emphasis. X Zar is a modern adaptation of the Naskh script, lacking any additional decorations and stylistic elements. It has a plain look; letters are monospaced with soft and rounded curves and sharp terminals. In its every weight, the font aims to deliver high legibility on screen and, therefore, can be readable even at smaller resolutions. Its soft yet clear nature makes it befitted to a variety of projects where clarity is needed. These may include long editorial texts and publications.
