Dast Nevis, often known as the “Calligrapher” font, is an Arabic font designed by Ehsan Iran Nejad and released in 2005. It is a trademark of Pcboy © Digital Cartoon Studios. Designer created this font as a new year gift for her beloved, named Parisa. It contains 269 characters and have a glyph count of 209. Moreover, it has a support for Arabic and Latin, offering compatibility for 8 Unicode blocks including Basic Latin, Latin-1, Supplement Spacing, Modifier Letters, Arabic, among others. Its strokes resemble those of a traditional calligrapher’s hand, giving it a classic and handwritten look and feel. The ligatures and symbols in the Dast Nevis have been carefully designed to keep the natural flow and beauty of the Arabic script. The letters are spaced asymmetrically and the dots are combined giving the text a natural pen-writing look. This type of font can be used to make creative posters, banners for sites, and advertising purposes rather than for writing longer texts due to its less readability.
