Mamoun Sakkal created Shilia W23 in 2016, but Aida Sakkal coded its significant OpenType capabilities. The design was expanded and entirely redone for its Linotype debut. More than 1,800 glyphs make up the font, many of which are ligatures, swashes, stylistic alternatives, and ornaments. It has support for Arabic, Persian, and Urdu in addition to Linotype Univers’s basic Latin component. For the supported languages, proportional and tabular numbers are also included. Arabic font Shilia W23 is also appropriate for text formatting, particularly in bilingual publications where Arabic and Latin characters should coexist peacefully. The font’s consistent, open letter forms, which are derived from the straightforward lines of Kufic calligraphy, give it a geometric, rigid, yet approachable, feel. With 21 versions, Shilia W23 has more styles than any other Arabic typeface family, making it ideal for business and governmental purposes. It comes in various weights some of them are:
