Mitra is an Arabic/Urdu font family that displays a beautiful calligraphic design. It was created by Tim Holloway and is available on various trusted platforms. It is a property of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, leased exclusively through Linotype GmbH. The font family contains 2 styles or weights, increasing its diversity. The typefaces contain Latin glyphs (from Optima Medium and Optima Bold, respectively), allowing a single font to set text in most Western European and Arabic languages. The two Mitra typefaces include both the Basic Latin character set (Western CP 1252 Latin 1/ANSI and Macintosh US Roman) and the Arabic character set (CP 1256), which covers Arabic, Persian, and Urdu.
