Amer LT

Amer LT is an OpenType-distributed modern Arabic headline font. Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG is the exclusive licensing holder of the Amer trademark, which is registered in several countries through Linotype GmbH. With the inclusion of Latin glyphs from Kabel Book in this OpenType font, users may set text in Arabic and most Western European languages without having to switch fonts. Amer comprises the Arabic character set (CP 1256), which supports Arabic, Persian, and Urdu, as well as the Basic Latin character set (Western CP 1252 Latin 1/ANSI and Macintosh US Roman). Amer LT has a vast character set of 582 and a glyph count of 546. Together with a set of tabular European (Latin) numbers, the font also has tabular and proportional Arabic, Persian, and Urdu numerals. The AmerLT typeface is well-known for its readability, which makes Urdu script simple to read and write.
