Maged LT is a versatile Arabic font with a wide letterform characterized by symmetrical edges, blunt corners, and a soft nature. Released by Heidelberger Druckmaschinen and Linotype in 1987. It draws inspiration from the Naskh script with modern design elements. With 619 characters and 587 glyphs, it offers extensive language support for Arabic, Latin, Greek, and more, making it suitable for various typographic needs. This traditional-style Arabic text face was originally a dry-transfer typeface before being licensed to Linotype-Hell for font production. Redrawn by Adrian Williams in consultation with the Linotype Design Studio (U.K.), this unique font represents a trend-setting modern Naskh design while retaining the fluidity of Naskh calligraphy.
