Noto is a universal typeface library that supports writing in both current and classical scripting languages. Noto Nastaliq Urdu is a cursive, modulated (“serif”) Nastaliq font designed for writings in the Middle Eastern Arabic script, particularly Urdu. It was designed by Google and was released in 2016. It has 1,138 glyphs with a character set of 276 symbols and letters. It also features nine OpenType features and supports 281 characters from six Unicode blocks: Arabic Supplement, Arabic Presentation Forms-A, Basic Latin, General Punctuation, and Latin-1 Supplement.
