Afsaneh is a Persian font based on Nastaliq script designed specifically for the Persian language. It was designed by an Iranian designer Hossein Taghizadeh and is available for everyone to use. The word Afsaneh means “a fairy tale” which has Persian origin. As the name suggests, it can be used to write imaginative stories and tales, specifically for children’s books. It is a regular font type with an untidy look of a paintbrush. It has lovely flowing lettering, soft curves, and a beautiful blend of old and modern design elements. The Nastaliq script, which has been used for thousands of years to write Arabic, Persian, and other languages, can be found in it. Moreover, it has a large character set and 353 glyphs to cover both Urdu and Arabic characters and symbols. It can used to write plain body text or to make attractive headings.
